The Java Card Forum (JCF) is the industry organization whose main objective is to promote and evolve interoperable smart cards. Globally we have as an industry delivered more than 6 billion cards and in 2007 celebrated our 10th anniversary.
Sun Microsystems in association with the Java Card Forum held the Java Card Telco Summit; an exclusive event over 2 days, targeted at selected Marketing/Business Decision makers involved with the major Chinese Telecom companies, planning to deploy Java Card technology in the Telecom segment.
The Summit:
- Educated participants on the numerous players and aspects that make up the Java Card SIM ecosystem.
- Explained why the Java Card Platform has become the de-facto standard for EU and US telcos for SIM
- Demonstrated what Telco companies need to be aware of when adopting/migrating to Java Card
During the 2 Days, a team of experts:
- Introduced you to Java Card technology
- Presented a variety of success stories in the Telecom arena using current Java Card technology, from international Telcos
- Explained the Java Card ecosystem and partnerships with standards bodies
- Reviewed the benefits of Java Card in the NFC space
- Presented deployment criteria
- Demonstrated solutions utilizing the Java Card platform
